Wachau Valley- Day Trip

Image
WACHAU VALLEY Wachau Valley is an Austrian region, located near the Danube River, west of Vienna. It is known for is hills, wineyards and castle. I went to this beautiful town of Durnstein . From Vienna, I took a train to Krems and in about 1.5 hours I reached there. I explored this beautiful town which has a population of only 25000. Amazing stores and shops all around made me fell in love with this place.  After that, I visited Durnstein, from Krems I took a bus and reached Durnstein in about 20 minutes. THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM ❤❤❤❤πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– This day trip was a memorable one❤ I hiked to the Drnstein castle which was a moderate trekking, better to wear shoes because slope is very slippery. It looked like an abandoned castle but had some great and stunning views of the town.  I really wished I had more time to see, but unfortunately my battery got down, there was no Wifi or charging points in any of this area. I hope to go here again !! Check out complete vlog about day trip ...

BRATISLAVA   Bratislava is a beautiful city and capital of Slovakia. It is 2 hours away from Austria by bus and 1 hour from train. I went there in 1st week of Feb 2024, extreme windy and cold at that time, but I had my best time. I went on a day trip to Bratislava from Vienna, by Flixbus. This bus has cost be around 7 Euros return ticket by prebooking it 2 months before. On flixbus, I made a friend from Australia, with whom I explored this beautiful city Bratislava. Our first visit was the church of Brastilava which was on the way to the old town Michael's gate.   It’s surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian mountains, crisscrossed with forested hiking and cycling trails.   The old town was built in 18th Century. After that, we explored bars and cafe of Bratislava in old town, and listened to some great music on our way. The city centre also has amazing crowd and they sell hot wine, hot rum, ice creams etc.  Hot wine  was only 2.5 Euros (Approx INR 250...

Heidelberg A beautiful town on the Neckar river in Germany. I visited there in Summers, although it was extremely hot but this place is extremely beautfiul. This is a hidden gem as not many have heard of and is 2 hours away from Frankfurt. While passing and exploring this town I spent a whole day walking on the beautiful river bridge, old town, market, cafes and pretty little shops. The above pictures are taken from the castle, namely Heidelberg castle. Heidelberg castle is one of the most famous castle of Renaissance. It has spectacular views of this beautiful town across the river.  There are 2 days ways to reach Heidelberg castle. First is by cable car and another is by hiking over the mountain. The entrance fee with cable car is (Euros (approx INR 900).  It was high summers so I chose to use the cable car.                       After visiting and exploring the castle and immersing myself in its history. I had am...

A DAY TRIP TO KAMAKURA, JAPAN Kamakura is a beautiful destination just 1 hour away from Tokyo, lies in south. If you are looking to spend a day or a few days away from hustle bustle of Tokyo, Then Kamakura is right place for you ❤ Getting to Kamakura from Tokyo takes 1 Hour atleast and a train journey cost approx 900 Yen (INR 500) one way. I went to Kamakura on my 29th Birthday as a day trip from Tokyo. This place is in itself is a big experience. Rich history with sandy beaches and temples makes it a best day trip from TokyoπŸ’ THINGS I DID IN KAMAKURA : 1 . The Great Buddha Temple - One of the most famous 11 meters tall bronze statue in Japan, the Temple feels is only 300 Yen (INR 150) and for children it is 150 Yen (INR 80).  This Temple is 15 minutes walk from Kamakura train station and a 8 minute bus ride from train station. However, I strongly recommend a walk for exploring beautiful lanes, cafes and shops. 2. Hasedera Temple-  This temple was so unique and it is my fav!!...
