Heidelberg

 Heidelberg

A beautiful town on the Neckar river in Germany. I visited there in Summers, although it was extremely hot but this place is extremely beautfiul. This is a hidden gem as not many have heard of and is 2 hours away from Frankfurt.

While passing and exploring this town I spent a whole day walking on the beautiful river bridge, old town, market, cafes and pretty little shops. The above pictures are taken from the castle, namely Heidelberg castle.

Heidelberg castle is one of the most famous castle of Renaissance. It has spectacular views of this beautiful town across the river.  There are 2 days ways to reach Heidelberg castle. First is by cable car and another is by hiking over the mountain. The entrance fee with cable car is (Euros (approx INR 900).

It was high summers so I chose to use the cable car.

After visiting and exploring the castle and immersing myself in its history. I had amazing vegan french fries on my way back to the city. The best part of Hiedelberg castle is, it has a Free Wifi too 😜. After coming down and I explored the city centre that had an amazing vibe. I had Ferroro Rocher ice cream which was an absolute delight and cost me around 3 Euros.

A perfect day trip from Frankfurt is a best ❤
