Bruges- A hidden gem in Belgium, Europe

A HIDDEN GEM IN BELGIUM, EUROPE

BRUGES

A fairytail city in Belgium, located 3 hours away from Paris, France. I booked a flixbus in advance to travel from Paris to Bruges, it cost around 9 Euros one way. As a solo Traveller, I booked my stay at IBIS Budget hotel that was a walking distance to main attractions and just adjacent to train and bus station.

Bollywood movie; PK has been shot here but this places is still an absolute hidden gem.

First thing I did was to take a self guided walking tour for this city. It takes 3 to 4 hours to explore the city by walk. I managed to see almost everything like church, cafes, swan lake, market and the old town. One day in Brugge is absolutely enough as it is a very small town.

Second thing I did was indulging in FRENCH FRIES, BEER and WAFFLE !!!
It is an absolute delight to have it in Belgium where it has been originated from.

I ate and bought some amazing Belgian chocolates for friends and family. While strolling the Grote Markt, did some window shopping of beautiful stuff handcrafted in Belgium (it was too expensive to buy 😜). Apart from these, there a belfry tower, a historium (museum to know the history. Some amazing fine dining and restaurants, but very too expensive for me. Also, I am vegetarian so I don't go explore much of local food.

If you don't prefer walking tour, there are horse rides, but way too expensive (1 person for 60 Euros).

I think this one of the best places in the world I have ever visited so far ❤ A full vlog is there on m YouTube channel- Solo Trails (@aarushitravels)

The next day, I visited Ghent, another city in Belgium which only 45 minutes train journey from Bruges. I will shares snaps in next blog.

Bruges is also called city of Love, as its colorful with old buildings. the city has a romantic charm that can go well with travellers, couples and friends.
